They say, never judge a book by it’s cover and that’s certainly the same with this detached residence being situated adjacent to the Shropshire Union Canal. From the front elevation, you’ll think this is just some humble 2 up, 2 down cottage in rural Shropshire, but from any other elevation you’ll soon appreciate that this is anything but and would have Kevin Macleod somersaulting with this very own ‘Grand Design’. Set within approximately 3.6 acres of wonderfully landscaped gardens with extensive garaging, grass land and wild flower meadow areas which subsequently back onto woodland, this is a true gardeners paradise and offers plenty opportunity for a business to be conducted from the property like a kennels or maybe even a spot of glamping (subject to planning). This really is a case of old meeting new with this stunning detached cottage which has Karndean flooring throughout the ground floor and under floor heating with each room being individually controlled with its own thermostat, there are oak doors throughout and recessed spot lighting. The cottage also has solar panels and a monitored alarm/security cameras are also installed. There is an extensive patio area overlooking the gardens and a large drive provides ample off-road parking being accessed through electronic gates and having numerous garages / outbuildings.
The cottage, which has been renovated to the highest possible standard was designed to provide the maximum space of open plan living throughout the ground floor. This includes a welcoming hall which leads to the lounge stretching across the front of the cottage which has log burning stoves at either end and this in turn leads to a sitting room. The sitting then leads into a wonderfully bright kitchen / dining room with bi-fold doors leading to outside and a high-quality kitchen with gloss units. The kitchen also has an exposed well which is illuminated – a perfect talking point for guests if they dare stand on the toughened glass! A utility room and guest WC complete the ground floor accommodation.
On the first floor, the master bedroom has an ensuite shower room and a stunning balcony is the perfect place for morning coffee to take in the delights of the rolling Shropshire Countryside, the balcony is also accessed from bedroom 2. There are a further 2 bedrooms and a family bathroom which again has been refitted to a particularly high standard.
